From BBC South Today, a recent four-minute report about a fragment of Jane Austen’s handwriting that will go on display in Chawton later this year.
The subject of the fragment is prayers and praying, and perhaps by extension, preaching, a subject Austen approached also in chapter 34 of Mansfield Park, during a conversation between Edmund Bertram and Henry Crawford.
And while not recent, but in line with JASNA’s celebration of the bicentenary of Mansfield Park, a note about an adaptation for the stage, from two years ago. We probably missed an entertaining evening:
