On March 29, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of its publication, the St. Louis Region of JASNA will host a reading of favorite scenes from Mansfield Park. We will meet at the Tavern of Fine Arts at 313 Belt, 63122, just north of Forest Park and west on Pershing from Union. Attendees can begin gathering at 11:00 a.m. to eat lunch and the reading will begin at 1 p.m.
We are looking for readers, so if you have a favorite scene or chapter please e-mail or call Rose Marie Nester before Feb. 28, 2014. We would like to coordinate the readings so there are no repeats; so please have two choices available.
You are also welcome to attend and just listen. If you are planning on eating lunch with us, you need to contact Rose Nester before February 28.
The Tavern of Fine Arts is not charging for the event, but makes its money from the sale of food and drink, so please plan on eating lunch with us first. The Tavern of Fine Arts will provide us with a fixed-price menu consisting of a sandwich, side salad and dessert for $12 to $15.
If you joined us for 2013’s readings of Pride & Prejudice then you’ll remember just how wonderful of the a time was had by all who attended and how quickly it went by. The food was delicious and the company was great.
